A WEEK @ CB MISSIONS
What does a week serving with CB Missions look like?
(this is just a sample, each team leader will work with the Camp Directors to create a week fashioned for the needs of your team)
7:30 Wake Up
8:00 Quiet Time
9:00 Begin Work Project
Work projects on the camp property vary depending on what is going on during your stay. They can include land clearing, painting, landscaping, repair and maintenance of existing Camp Activities, and assisting in building cabins and other building projects from foundation to finish work.
12:30 Lunch at worksite(usually sandwhiches & chips)
1:00 Continue Work Project
3:30 Ministry & Community Outreach-You will travel to a nearby community where your team will have the unique opportunity to minister the truth and love of Jesus to the children of the Bahamas through VBS programs, sports clinics, etc...
5:30 Leave Ministry time and head back to Camp Bahamas
8:00 Team Meeting:Praise and Worship,Teaching, Planning etc. TBD by Team Leaders
Bedtime- TBA by Team Leaders
Church-You will have the opportunity to go to a local church where your team will be able to minister to the local congregation: preaching, sharing your testimony, singing, skits etc. If you go to a local Haitian church, there will be an interpreter there to assist. These churches are so excited that you are there and they will be blessed to worship with you.
You can’t be in the beautiful Bahamian islands and not take some time to enjoy God’s creation. Your team will spend this day seeing local attractions on Eleuthera such as the ocean hole in Rock sound, an enormous banyan tree where you can explore and get a team photo, a tourist shop for souveniers, a delicious meal at a local beachfront restaurant as well as snorkeling at a reef and beaching. (Team members should plan to bring $20 each to cover the cost of the fun day meal and tip.)
